Default "cache folder is not writeable" while upgrade to 1.5.5.

    Hi All,

I wanted to upgrade from ZC 1.3 to 1.5
I downloaded the ZIP and unpacked it. Now because i was trying to rush it i did a little mistake and just copied the content of the folders to my server. After that i could login to my admin panel and operate on website. It said that i have version 1.5 aand all ok. However...
    - I could not add any new product to the website. The process will go thru where i put all the product details but it would not appear on the listing or the website.
    - It said that my database needed upgrading. And I did not now how to do it so I red how to PROPERLY upgrade zencart. I copied the zc_install folder to my server but when I run index.php i have an error as per pictures.
I have changed the attributes on the folders but still nothing
    I have a PHP 5.6
I have a full backup of my website.

Thank you all for any help

Change all dir. that have 777 permissions to 755. Should also check that 644 permissions are used for file permissions if you have any further problems.

That's usually a consequence of not converting your database contents to utf8. See: Convert my store from iso-8859-1 to utf8

Zen Cart is basing that on what the server is telling PHP about the properties of the cache directory. It could be that your public_html/includes/configure.php file has an incorrect path listed for DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE or for DIR_FS_CATALOG, and therefore any attempt by PHP to write to an invalid or non-existent directory is naturally going to fail.
