Default Alt Nav broken in 1.5.5

In 1.5.4, clicking on one of the admin titles gave you the alt navigation. It seems like this ability has been lost in 1.5.5.

Ya, the alt-nav is gone. The click now opens the drop-down menu. So does hover.

Ya, that's different from previous versions.

What's the workflow that makes it a bug? All the mobile devices and desktop browsers I've tested it on seem to work fine with the hover functionality.

When you have a loooooooong menu, such as under Configuration or Tools, it can sometimes be tricky to hit the last one.
It's just a bit odd too since the alt nav code is still there; if you hover over a menu label, it still shows as the href.

I constantly have this problem and miss the alt-nav. I usually have to go back to an accessible configuration setting because that's the longest set and extends the page further down. Then I can access the last one or two in the list.

I click on the Configuration menu to make the dropdown static/open, then use the cursor key to move the selection down to the lowest items.

works on my keyboard at home and not so much on the lap top without the additional keyboard. Sticky keys! Thanks for the tip!
