I am not sure that this is something that CAN be done in ZC nor am I quite sure how to approach doing it. So I thought this might be a good way to get some info on how to do it from those of you more in the know than me when it comes to doing this stuff. :-)

So here is the deal. I have about 5 products that are similar items with somewhat different prices. Lets call them Products A, B, C, D, and E. and I want to run a sale where I can say "Buy any combination of these 5 products, Buy 1 and get 5% off, buy any 2 and get 10% off, buy any 3 or more and get 15% off" of those 5 products only. SO, if they buy 1 product B and 1 product E, and 2 of Product L, they would receive 10% off the Product B & Product E amounts and pay full price for the qty 2 of Product L that they purchase.

This is kind of why I'm calling this a "Compound Product Discount". :-) Trust me, I did not think this up, it takes a SalesMan to come up with this goofy crap! I think he does it just to make my life more miserable. The worst part is it's only going to last a couple months and then I have to undo the changes until the next time they decide to do this kind of thing again.

Anyway, if anyone out there knows the BEST way to do this, provided it's even possible, I would appreciate a detailed step by step on how to get it done. Maybe even would be worth making it a sticky or an FAQ or maybe in the next Book. (Which I did purchase a hard copy of a couple years back.) I've been using Zen since the 1.2 versions if memory serves. But I try to not tweak it much so my skills are not fine tuned.

My apologies if there is already someplace that describes how to do this. I did do some searching to see if I could find any similar threads.

Might find a commercial mod to do this but, not one in the plugins. Google discount Zen Cart.
