I need to update the category description and metatags easypopulate or myphpadmin

new install v1.5.5e
The problem when I update the categories via CSV to myphpadmin it duplicates the categories and products but the description and metatags do not show up.
If I upload it via easypopulate it states that the import has been done correctly but the information do not change

What version of software (EasyPopulate) is being used? Would recommend posting questions related to that software to its forum thread.

As for uploading category data directly through phpmyadmin? There are several tables involved that are cross referenced. To be able to help identify what part of the operation is unsuccessful please provide more information such as an example line of data.
