Default Editors don't work after update

After updating v139 to 155 the editors ( Html area, ckeditor, tinyMCE ) won't work in admin. I installed due to readme description and they all show up in the pulldown meny, but only plain text editor is active whatever I choose. Even choosing a default editor under configuration/my store/ don't work.

I tested that javascript is enabled in the browser. Do I have to change anything in .htaccess ?

Not that I necessarily expect it to be the root of the issue, but regarding the database upgrade portion, what happened to all of the updates between 1.3.9 and 1.5.5? Ie, where are the updates to 1.5.0, 1.5.1, etc...?

As to the editors, has the latest version compatible with ZC 1.5.5 of the editor(s) been installed or was it just a reload from the older store?

The installed editors are the last versions ready for zc155
In the update process all update steps from 139.....155 checked on screen.
I don't know why they don't show upp in the admin/version/ page?
    Admin right upper corner says:
Your version of Zen Cart™ appears to be current.
    (TEXT_CURRENT_VER_IS v1.5.5e)

What is your setting of Admin > Configuration > My Store > HTML Editor?

And yet even when trying to say that everything is/was right there is the define for the constant TEXT_CURRENT_VER_IS which appears to be missing leading at least myself to wonder what else is awry, incomplete, or otherwise not right. Realize the thread started with a question specific to text editors, but it seems like a whole can of worms was just opened. Perhaps could step through the details of this upgrade a little more. Please see the posting tips for ideas of information and detail that would be helpful.

The only HTML editor you want for 155 is this one:

    https://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1098

If you have more than this in the editors folder, wipe out the folder then upload a new one from a fresh 155 download, then install the mod linked above.

I had similar problem a couple of times when updating ckeditor. There is a folder in the download - editors/ckeditor/samples -that is not present but was present in original version I installed. When I copied the the samples folder from an older version into the new ckeditor folder the problem was solved for me.

Thank you, but it didn't help anyway! The last version with the sample folder was 4.61 so I copied that into 4.62...invain. What version /samples/ did you use?

The samples directory is NOT used. Any coincidental change by uploading the samples/examples directory is accidental.

I suspect the cause of "all editors not working" is language related.
If you switch your store to English, do the editors suddenly start working?
