Default Lost access to my website...... 90 day REST ;-(

    Hello,

I tried to set up a website this past winter/summer.

I have not acc3essed the site in over three months as I have been dealing with the death of my father......

At this time I can NOT access the website because of the password has been outdated. NOT A COOL FEATURE !!!

It asks for my old and then to type the "new password" twice. It's NOT working.

I have had some help and spent a LOT of money with Anne @ https://picaflor-azul.com with this project.
I can not seem to reach Anne by phone numbers or email to get help with the site now and I'm locked out. Hope she is OK.

I never could get the site working like it should be or the database set up like it needs to be.

    I need some help:

    1. Get website access back.
    2. Find someone that KNOWS how to set up large parts databases.
    3. Find someone that is willing to KEEP working with me to get the site to where it needs to be.

There are a few large parts databases from different distributors. The parts databases are sent to me in numerical order.
Online customers look up parts by categories..... SO the database part numbers need to be categorized into specific categories.

If I remember correctly these categories need to be set up in excel before uploading to the site.... if I remember correctly how it was explained to me.

    Thanks,

    Ronald Self

It hasn't deleted your old password. It's simply requiring you to CHANGE it for standard ecommerce industry security reasons.

Yes, that's normal. Standard procedure for changing a password.

It would be helpful if you explained more about what you mean by "not working".
    Is it one of:
    - "a big read screen pops up saying 'hey, I'm not working'"?
    - an error message appears somewhere, likely saying your new password isn't of an expected format? What IS the exact error message?
    - is the screen refreshing and asking for the same thing again, without any error message?

It's really hard to help out when insufficient information is provided.
