Default Anyone know if something is going on with Camelot Hosting?

    Hi,

I got a strange message today from Camelot Hosting, saying that my account was suspended, and my site is down, but I know my card is fine that they have.

I went to check, and their site is also down, so that does not give me a good feeling. Emails to them also bounced back.

Anyone know what's going on with them, if anything?

If anyone has any way to contact them and find out, then post here, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Did they say why it was suspended? Most hosts generally do.

What makes you think it may have been a card related issue?

    It's working for me.

Emails bounces also come with a message explaining the reason. What was that reason?

Their site is working for me. You've not provided enough (or any) information to determine why *you* are having problems though.

Because the email said "Overdue on Payment", but I was not, they have my card for auto-renewal.

    Because that's my auto-payment method.

I discovered this morning, that I could not access their servers because of a VPN I have, but my site WAS down, completely.

Turned out they were not bouncing, I had replied to an auto-generated no-reply email address on the first one, which first appeared as a bounce.

The end result was that they DID have a crash, which unfortunately wiped out my ENTIRE site, and ALL their backups of my site, according to them. I'm not very happy right now, as the last off site backup I have is from 12/24/2017. All the rest were on their site, unfortunately. Luckily, I have a working copy of my Zen Cart site code here, from working on the problem I had been having since the last crash, and should be able to restore that today, now that they've got my site put back together. They have told me that they don't know how or why my site was erased along with their backups. Unfortunately, I've lost all orders on the site since 12/24, however. Lesson learned.

    Cheers
    Rod
