What PHP version is your site seeing? There was a recent issue identified that with PHP 7.1+ the featured, specials, etc... did not appear below category listings when off of the main store page. Link to the github commit correcting the issue is available from this post. The post before by mikeel100 independently identified a portion of the solution. If you are not using PHP 7.1.x or above, then carry on. :)

So how do I do this
Problem is my <New Products for February> display in columns but my category products (when I click on a category) those list in a row. Now in <configuration> <product listing> I have it set to <rows> cause if I set it to <columns> then my products show in one thin column running down the left side at about 15% the width of the center column.

So I got this in the instructions but don't know how to do it.
What does this mean?

SQL Update - Add new switches to Admin -> Configuration -> Product Listing:

and then I got things like this

In your Admin, navigate to Tools -> Install SQL Patches

Then you add in the SQL Update you posted ^ (INSERT INTO...) and click send

Be sure to have a backup of your SQL database before sending it.
