    Default Image upload not working in 1.5.5

    Hi ZC community.

    ZC 1.5.5f
    localhost test server (Windows 7 pro)
    Apache 2.4, PHP 7.1.7, MySQL 5.5.5-10.2.7-MariaDB

    I am rebuilding a test site for an upgrade from old 1.3.8 version.

    Attribute File is not uploading and I am not seeing any errors either in the logs. Allowed Filename Extensions for uploading is set up for the file type (jpg).

    I am suspecting that that it is a permissions problem with Windows. How do I set up the /images/upload directory on Windows so that it allows update?
    If it is a permissions problem, why is it not showing up in the logs?
    Is there a way for Zen Cart to show error, when upload fails?
    Where else can I look for potential problems?

    Did you check both configure.php files?

    Yes. Apparently, it's a template (Ajax) issue. The author is working on a fix.

    Hi dvtalk,

    If the author or yourself come up with a solution I'd be very interested. I've been trying unsuccessfully to get the "Image to Contact" plugin (written for ZC v1.5.1) to work on my ZC 1.5.5e system as a method to upload files.

    Hi again

    I worked my problem out. For possible benefit to others: it wasn't an Ajax issue - it was a merging issue.

    Unbeknownst to me, I wasn't merging the Image to Contact plugin files with the ZC1.5.5e version of the Contact Us 'matching' files. When that was remedied (+ some additional tweeking)...Success!

    BTW, that plugin worked better in my situation - where the upload was required separate to and before any sale of product occurred (where Upload Attribute can be set.
