U.S.P.S. suddenly not calculating, slow loading estimator

We started having an issue last night with our u.s.p.s. module. We have tested it with both retail and online calculations.

What happens: The shipping estimator is so slow loading it does not appear to the customer that we offer the opportunity to calculate before signing in or after signing in.

The other modules show, however, like "pay on pick up" and "flat rate shipping".

When the estimator finally loads it will just reload with no u.s.p.s. results, no matter the state or zip entered.

Anyone else seeing this? We thought it might be a u.s.p.s. glitch. Don't know how to figure that out.

Yes! Same issue. Just noticed today that my module was out of date. After updating, it will not return rates, only an error message at checkout:
"An error occurred in obtaining USPS shipping quotes.If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please try refreshing this page, or contact the store owner.

Same problem here. Ive seen this many times. Only knew something was wrong when a customer called and said they couldn't get past the shipping portion of checkout.
In the past I have just waited it out and it was fixed in about 20 minutes. Based on the time stamp of the earlier posts this has been going on for well over an hour.

I was still able to create a shipping label in paypal so there is that if you need to get orders out. You can also keep an eye on the postage calculator on USPS website. When that starts working again then our shipping quotes should be working again too.

I'm still not getting USPS shipping rates and customers can't proceed to place an order (though I have had 1 order come through with no shipping charged) Is this still a USPS problem?
