Generating sales reports

Hello,

I am on v1.5.3 and am trying to figure out how to generate sales reports. I want to be able to see how many sales I am doing every month. Currently I am retyping orders into excel so I can see a month by month breakdown.

When I log into the admin side all I see options for is sales by customer and sales by item. Both of which are really useless to me.

Searching the Plugins for Sales Report will show several options. They may be somewhat more limited by the fact you're running 1.5.3
