Special price will not display!

For some reason when I create a special, only the regular price with strikethrough shows on the main page, specials page, and product page. The price on the dropdown menu is correct, but the %-off and Special price that used to display in red next to the product name and image has mysteriously vanished. I can see it when I view admin pages, but it does not show on the actual site. Very ineffective way to offer a sale...

v139h, customized appearance but no extras at all. Setting meta tags to display price does not change this. I have looked at every admin option under Configuration, etc, and cannot see why this is happening. Priced by attributes is on. I cannot find anything searching tutorials or the forum, is there some simple thing that my tired brain is missing???

Line 427 of your stylesheet.css.

Text color is exactly the same as the background color. Change #ffffcc to red or whatever color you want.

Wow, I have no idea how THAT happened, because I have not been anywhere near that file...for years. I had not tried scrolling across the page to see if invisible text was there. THANK YOU, dbltoe!!!!!!
