IN configuration the credit card part stopped working

I wanted to have more cc choices by adding Amex and Discovery to assortment. So in the config I chose these and got 2 my cards added to checkout. I tried to follow the instructions to get the corresponding icons, but that's where the problems started. Now the config concerning cc:s does not work any more. When I removed via config the my cards and when I try to install the cards I get a message, that it is not safe.The system is not working.
I need urgently help 1 how to get the cc config working and 2 how to get the Amex and Discovery icons to show in checkout.
I followed this advice:" just turn on display of CC images via Admin->Configuration->Credit Cards
and then upload images for each of the respective card types into the icons folder once you've obtained the images and permission to use them."

The actions taken to display and actually accept additional cards were as expected and what is necessary.

The description of a message stating that "it is not safe" is a little vague. As in, was this a browser message while accesing a page with https and the "picture" showing or was this in your admin while changing the settings, etc...

I seem to recall an issue with the credit card images in a version of Zen Cart older than 1.5.5f that even on a page that was served via SSL that the credit card images may be shown with http:. That mixed content would often prompt customers of an issue depending on the browser used.

Understand the panic, but please do what you can to clearly explain what issues are being seen. "Doesn't work" is non-descript and could be caused by any number of issues. Take a breath and try to explain the issue and possibly how to reproduce it as best as possible.

The problem is that Amex and Discover are now without any number, not 0 nor 1. So therefore when I try to proceed, it gives the warning of not being safe and nothing happens. Before this I got two my cards and when trying to get rid of them, I reversed the number from 1 to 0. That is when the problem started. Iam now talking about config credit cards.

Once I try to put a o or a 1, I get following message:
THIS IS A NON-SECURE FORM
This form will be sent in a way that is not secure.
Are you sure you want to send it?

If I send nothing happens!

Took another look at the site. It appears that the visitor is forced to https:; however, Zen Cart is only setup for https on the secure pages (if that). As a result, mixed content is being served (some as http: some as https:). To serve the entire site as https, need to modify the includes/configure.php file (be sure to change permissions to at least 644 just before saving the change(s)) and modify HTTP_SERVER to begin with https and verify that HTTPS_SERVER is https and that ENABLE_SSL is true.
