How do you uninstall?
I didn't realize that you need the product id instead of the product model.

The code looks like it'll "work" fine. The admin page might "show" oddly given some of the changes made to v157's admin templating/menuing, but probably only minor cosmetic oddities. You could probably fix those oddities, if any, with relative ease by merging some html from other admin files.
