v155f new install can't log in admin after reset new password

i installed new v155f and when i 1st time logged in admin it requires me to reset new password due to SSL security reason.
after reset new password i log in it again but the page run few seconds then it refresh page. the user name and password boxes are empty and no error message appears.
next day i logged in admin with old password again and it still asks me reset password.

i have tried to create a new customer account and log in (https) without any problem.

my site uses php 7.1 and SSL.

hope someone knows what i missed.

Seeing that this is likely not the first time of using Zen Cart based on the account creation date, a question about this "new install" was a database upgraded for it to work on this new software?

How is the new install different than a vanilla install?

What php version is being used?

Is there some sort of database backup/restore feature being applied to the site's database? Once the login credentials have been updated/modified, there should be no way for the previous password to be used the next day.

If the database is from a previous Zen Cart Version, which one and has it been upgraded using zc_install?

it's a new website. new database. not upgrade and hasn't modified (can't log in). it uses PHP 7.1v (cPanel shows server information is PHP Version 5.6.36, but PHP Selector is "Current PHP version: 7.1").

From where was the ZC software obtained? Is there/has there been a ZC site installed on this server/host before or in parallel?

When you do successfully login to the admin, what php version is reported when selecting the version link in the upper right corner?

i changed "PHP Selector is Current PHP version: 7.1" to 5.6 (to match my server information 5.6.36) and it works.
the problem is solved.

I would suggest that the problem is not solved. Every thing may be working, but why did it not work with PHP 7.1 when that is the recommended PHP for 1.5.5f?

End of life for PHP 5.6* is December 31.

Check with your host. New Site, New Load, should work fine with PHP 7.1. I'm afraid that, continuing on without checking on this, could cause more problems later on.

I agree, I have got the same problem with v1.5.5f.
I can't log in the admin ever if I have got the right admin name and password.
My PHP is 7.1.

Somebody could help me?
