Product ID Specific Order Confirmation Email

I want to send out the order confirmation email but have it be specific to the product purchased. I've seen threads for adding additional comments in the products description on the OC email but that won't fit the bill here.

I've been searching around for a couple of days in the forums for something I can use but have yet to find anything that looks like what i want. I'm trying to setup the order confirmation email to be specific to the product ID. i.e.
if( 1 == $this->products[$i]['id'] )
{ zen_mail checkout_process.php
else checkout_process_2.php
}

i'm assuming i need to create a hook or notifier??? are there any good threads on how to accomplish this that i might have missed?

How much variation are you looking to achieve between one email and another?

i'm selling tickets to an event and download MP3s/mail order CDs of past event speakers. the event ticket needs to have instructions on how to print/present the email as a ticket. the MP3 downloads/CDs can remain the default order confirmation. Last year they only had the event ticket so it was easy to just modify checkout_process.php.

making checkout_process.php text cover both scenarios is to confusing. they prefer a separate email be sent as the "ticket" (order confirmation) so the event goer can present it at the door. i'm kind of surprised this isn't a mod as it should be relatively easy to do but my knowledge of php is limited thus the struggle.
