Default configure.php permissions automatically reset to 444 when changed.

I've tried to change it in the cpanel and through ftp, both say they permissions changed without error, but after I refresh the directory it changes back to 444. I've contacted my host and they said:

The issue has been tested and we've determined that it is a coding related issue, please disable all plugins and enable them one by one to determine a plugin which resets the permissions.
Not sure where to go from here.

ZC automatically sets/resets the permissions as part of visiting the site. It may be necessary to temporarily make a new file with the desired content, then rename/remove the existing and then rename the new file to configure.php.

Thanks for the reply, is it possible to shutdown the site (or put in a maintanence mode) for a couple of min to change the file? I don't know if I can delete it quick enough.

It wasn't as fast as I thought it was and was able to delete the configure and replace it with a new one. Thanks for the assistance mc12345678.

Welcome, though in general would do as suggested and/or make a backup, just in case something didn't work right that it could be restored back with ease.

Glad it worked out for you though. Keep up the good work.
