How to disable 'pay with paypal button'?

v1.5.5d with responsive sheffield blue theme.

I'm using PayPal Website Payments Pro which is working fine. Sometimes people check out using the 'pay with paypal button' from the checkout page, to pay directly. The problem with this is that it does not require a full customer registration account (which can be an issue if we want to contact them), and it also does not always include the shipping cost.

How can I disable this button?
I would like to retain the Paypal payment option, but only when customers go through the normal checkout pages, after logging in (or creating a new account). I remember reading somewhere that PayPal Website Payments Pro requires paypal express to be enabled, so I don't want to break anything.

Can anyone help?

Check the settings within Paypal Express, there are options to opt in actually allowing an express checkout. Disabling the express checkout portion(s) will make the checkout process slower for your customers, but will enforce the maximum amount of information. As to the shipping issue, there are a few reasons that could occur, but usually the option tries to select the cheapest shipping option...

Specifically, look at your Modules->Payment->PayPal Express Checkout->Express Checkout Shortcut Button and set that to 'Off'.
