How to change Product ID to Model Number?

Yes, is there a way to change the product ID to model/sku/item number?

For an example:

The Item/Sku Number is for the item is: 12010970

to

This would be a setting in the SEO URL package you are using (if it exists). You should pursue this on the support thread for that plugin.

Just a gotcha .......
The product ID number as used is unique
The model number may NOT be unique
So if you want to switch to model numbers you will need to ensure that YOUR model numbers are unique for this to work
You will also have to redo the logic that translates the rewritten url to the correct url
Probably NOT a trivial exercise

Actually also I so many items on the website and I want to put certain items on Feature module. I was hoping to use the Model/Item# in the "Product ID to be Manually Added as a Featured" to pull the item faster it won't do it that way. It's only ask for Product ID.

Zen Cart is product-id centric since that's the unique identifier ... but you can always look up a product id if you have a model number. (Just use the catalog side search.)

I did put in the model/item# it didn't work. When I put in the Model/Item# in search bar on the Feature section to add it. It won't show that product. Then when I enter my model/item# in the box below "Please enter the Product ID to be Pre-Added:". At the top it says " Warning: Product ID is invalid ... nothing was added ..."

I think you would have to modify whatever URL rewriter to use the model number instead of the ID. I don't know what you are using but the URL looks like it's not the Ceon version. With Ceon's, you can rewrite the URL to be whatever you want and there is no -p- or -c- or whatever in the string. Which I find to be really nice. My advice is to uninstall your current rewriter and install the latest Ceon version. MC also has a commercial mod, modestly priced, to couple with Easy Populate 4, that will let you bulk rewrite all of your existing URLs. Worth the cost, without a doubt. You can then bulk edit everything in a spreadsheet to be the exact URL you want it to be and import back into zen cart.

Are you talking about the Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)?
