How to handle large number of address book entries?

I work with resellers who drop ship through my webstore. The address book is getting huge for each of their accounts as they put daily orders in. I do not believe they use the address book at all and I have to keep increasing the max address book entry option.

Is saving the addresses into the address book necessary?

Can the address book be turned off?

Is there a way of clearing the address book besides the delete one at a time method or the one addon I found which still requires you to checkmark each address?

Trying to figure out the best way to handle this. Would be nice if zencart prompted a save to the address book otherwise just not remember the address other than keeping it in the order details.

I appreciate any advice I can get!

What about just skipping the max entries check?

I am not sure what you mean? Changing the code so it doesn't look for a limit?

This brings up a possible new issue. Twice now my reseller has put in orders that they copy and pasted a address into their order. The order that got placed ended up with a different name. The situation was the address was previously in the address book but someone else from the same address ordered and it somehow used the info from the previous order. Now I can't rule out some possibility of their browser but it doesn't sound like it and we havent had a problem until just now. So I am wondering if there is a certain number of address that when exceeded starts crashing things out. They have over a 1000 addresses right now from drop ships.

Correct.

There is no (practical) limit on the number of addresses you can have.

I have verified there is some issue here. So when they placed the order the PAYPAL receipt that we both received shows the correct address they entered but the order acknowledgement emails and the order itself in the store switched to the previous address entry that was in their address book. Its not totally randomly picking an address either because in both cases it selected an address book entry that had the same street address. The new orders were from different people in the company and were entered by my reseller accordingly. They never selected the entry in the address book.
