UPS quit showing up after upgrade

I have no idea when this problem started happening - could predate the upgrade (from 1.5.4) as there were no orders for several months before the upgrade. I turned on USPS in addition and it works but UPS just doesn't show up as an option. All possible shipping methods in UPS are turned on. I don't recall this ever happening before - anyone got an idea?

Though the site is upgraded to 1.5.5f, the php level is still 5.6 because they aren't offering anything except 7.0 in cPanel.

Which UPS module are you referring to?

Is it generating any myDebug-xxxxx.log error logs in the /logs/ folder?

just that standard one you last touched in 2015. Never seen any issues before at all.

no log files (and other errors have been logging including some indicating issues on the server). Is there a port or something I should check to see if its open/working?

Hello all,

About a week or more ago, UPS stopped working on one of our two mostly-identical ZC sites. No calculations are available when adding an item to cart and no option for UPS in checkout.

The site that is set-up the same and is still working is at: http://honingplates.com/

Add an item to cart and enter state and zip to test and see.

I had made no changes to either website before this happened. This had happened back in May 2018 for a few days, but cleared-up by itself. This time no such luck. UPS has not been able to help me with this.

Both sites are v. 1.5.5, running on a Newtek shared linux server.

I also updated both sites to the 2019 version of the UPS module today. No change.

Same issue as stated above. Updated the module, uninstalled it and reinstalled now error message is gone but still nothing showing on the website.
Tested the UPS URL that the code is using and got a correct response:

In the log file there is this error:

Installed the UPSXML and now everything works fine. UPS might be requiring an account now to use the API functionality.

UPS is working erratically on many sites. Sometimes it shows up and other times it doesn't. Doesn't seem to matter what cart version, nor which server. I have switched several people to the XML version - most of whom already had accounts. Since the XML version hasn't changed in over year whereas this one was updated in January, I'm really wondering what is going on. Is it the code or is it UPS? This needs to be answered. Folks are losing customers and money.
