CEON Advanced Shipping and mySQL 5.7

mySQL 5.7
Ceon/JSWeb Advanced Shipper v6.1

Me transferred this account to a new server. Only difference in the above version is mySQL. Old server was 5.6.

The problem is in the admin all the Advanced Shipping settings are missing, yet I can see all the tables and values in the database. Is anyone aware of issues between Advanced Shipper and mySQL 5.7?

Sounds to me like someone stayed home for the trip to the new server. Either that or the kids got left in the bathroom at the rest stop.

If all the settings are in the database, make sure you got all the files.

Have seen some issues with new installs using older software, but don't see how that in particular has any relationship to what has been described as observed above or who got left where (:)).

It is highly unlikely your problem has anything to do with the mysql version, but... I don't have any sites using 5.7, they are all MariaDB.

Surely you can compare files with your development version?

Checking the sites this morning I find the new server site is working fine and the old server site it now not working. My only theory is the software has a beacon verifying a valid installation and the server move somehow broke that. It took about 30 hours from the move to start working, which I find quite long.

I've opened a ticket with JSWeb to try and find out. Many files are encrypted so now way for me to check.

Ah there you have your issue (but not the solution sorry)... You're using the JSW attempt at Ceon Advanced Shipper, NOT the Ceon Advanced Shipper module. Yes, trust me I've had nothing but trouble with The JSW effort....so I bit the bullet and saved myself more grey hair by purchasing the 'Real Thing' from ceon.net
