Coupons are expired as of midnight Dec 31 2018. Unable to update to new year.

Running Version 1.5.4.
Coupons expired last night at midnight. I go to Admin coupons and click into a coupon and the years in the drop down are from 2001 to 2018. I went to coupon_admin.php and found line 752 - 757 looks like it creates the post to save years to database but not the actual drop down. Where can I adjust the drop down list to be a little more current?

My cart is at 1.3.9h and I will close this website sometime this year. I do not want to go through upgrading it to 1.5.5.

Making an assumption here that have looked at the change identified in the referenced link. How does the code differ in that area from what was shown as the fix?
