Customer Orders, Payment Goes Through But No Order Shows Up?

Morning or Afternoon to you all.

We recently had our site updated to 1.5.5f with PHP 7.1.26. After this change, we're occasionally seeing orders not show up in the admin. We've had a few different customers tell us they had received no confirmation email after ordering, upon searching for their order, it appears it doesn't exist but if we go to authorize.net, the payment is there and valid.

What could be causing this? We're at a loss. It's about the 3rd or 4th time this has happened this month. Is this a database issue?

You don't say from what version of ZC you came, but a lot of the database settings could be different.

Have you tried removing and reinstalling the authorize.net?

I believe it was 1.5.4. All the payment modules, etc, were freshly installed. What I think is weird, is that it's only happened 4 times. We've get a lot of sales per day and this only happened with 4 customers in a month.

Are there any debug-logs noted on/around the time of the missing order(s)?

Auth.net AIM or SIM?

If you log into the customer's account, are the items still in the cart?

If SIM, did they maybe close their browser before receiving the checkout success/order confirmation screen?
