Have you cleared your browser cookies? This can sometimes be a stale session or cookie. Also, make sure you are not using a proxy to access the site.

Ok I tried that. I cleared my browser data and cookies. Disabled my VPN and even tried different browser. Nothing works.

Shop runs but admin panel seems to be useless. I can not modify or add anything.

It's like every time I try to do something the shop just sends empty data.

If I change something in settings. For example the store name or address it gets replaced by empty (nothing). It becomes blank.

I'm seeing issues with 1.5.3 on a site as well. I thought it was supposed to work with php 5.6? Here's the message when you try to add a product. I've never seen this before:
Error ERROR: The data you submitted was found to be empty. YOUR CHANGES HAVE *NOT* BEEN SAVED. You may have a problem with your browser or your internet connection.

This is a site with virtually no changes from default by the way - still using the classic folders. No mods etc.

I couldn't figure out what was going on. So I thought why not to upgrade the version. I installed latest 1.5.6 and moved my site and database there.

I got the shop back online and admin panel seems to work well now.
