Responsive drop menu and side

Evening all.. im using v1.5.6, template westminster_new


could anyone help or advise me in relation to Categories.. On older zencarts Categories were at the side with sub Categories.. the Responsive template is a drop down menu.. are we able to have the dropdown menu and the side box? on the main page.. the side box appears to work when i go on to a product but will not show sub Categories like they used too..

is anyone able to help in this matter??

the tabs which i can active in admin panel!! when you click them it isnt even showing sub cats the page is just black??

is this really right ? is there a fix for this including my above post?

I have yet to update my Westminster New sites to v1.5.6, but I suggest you try the support thread for that template to see if there are any compatibility issues with the latest version of Zen Cart.
