help question logs problem - inodes.

Recently I received a warning email from my host, claiming that I have too many inodes.
They saw that on public_html/logs there are about 120,000 files as: myDEBUG-1546127433-597378.log (each has a different number).
indeed, I saw many files, (998), mostly from 2019, but I don't know how to clean this folder. Is it OK to delete the content?
I don't know why I see "only" 1000 files, from 120,000 they could see.
Should I delete them? Is there anything that I have to take care about?
    Please help if possible.
    Thanks in advance!
I'll never know how much I don't know...

Delete the logs folder from File Manager (within your CPanel). This will do it all in one shot. Then upload a new logs directory from a fresh download of Zen Cart (that way it will have a .htaccess and index.html already in it). DO NOT try to delete the logs folder from your FTP client, which will try to delete one file at a time.

Then the next day look at it and see what's logging so much, and fix the problem.

The reason you only see 998 of the files is that the 'ls' recursion limits in the pure-ftpd.conf are set really low. However, I agree with swguy, when the folder has that many files in it, just nuke the folder and start over.

Alternatively just ask your host to empty the folder - mine did it for me once when I had a problem.

You be able to clear the folder in one click in file manager in cPanel control panel.

Just make sure, when you do that, that you don't also remove the directory's .htaccess file.
