This involves setting your product as virtual in the product information, adding applicable attributes to the product, potentially enabling downloads for the site, adding the file(s) to the attribute(s), and being sure that the associated download folder(s) allow the file extension associated with the file(s) to be downloaded.

Have found the download folder on my store.

the samples are all zip do I need to make the pdf a zip file then?

It's not necessary, but since zips are smaller than pdf s, they take less space on the server, and download faster.

Big problem you can download directly from the store no picture appears but does actually download the file.

Using Firefox and Linux.

You don't have permission to access /store/download/index.php on this server.

Tried with index.php which did 403, but with the actual file it did download without a problem

Please return to the links I provided in post #2. This issue is discussed and addressed there.

It can be solved either of two ways. Permissions to prevent accessing or the files not being in a reachable network path.
