v5.6a old paypalwpp_v84.php Payment Module Not Working

PHP Version: 7.2.18 Zen Cart 1.5.6a

I upgraded my cart to the newest version. My test site is working except the Payment Module Install has disappeared.

So I did a clean install on another test site and tried to install paypal. Same thing. Payment Module Install vanished when I clicked on PayPal. It was the ONLY thing I did to the new install.

Here's the error in the log (which shows the test site):

PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[', expecting ',' or ';' in public_html/junestore/includes/modules/payment/paypalwpp_v84.php on line 1180

Request URI: /junestore/my-admin-directory/modules.php?set=payment&module=paypalwpp, IP address: 76.-----

A similar error occurs when I click on one of the other payment options.

I have no idea what to do or how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.

so, how is paypalwpp_v84.php different from the stock payment module named paypalwpp.php that comes with Zen Cart?

You should not use paypalwpp_v84 anymore, as the default paypall express version in Zen Cart has caught up, and contains the extras paypalwpp_v84 had.

Deleted the references to v84 and all is well. PayPal installed.
