Admin Log in Just Spirals and then resets

I just tried to login via Admin. I put in my Username and password. It cycles for a bit and then resets asking for the information again. I tried typing a wrong password and it did give me the message wrong password or username.

I have not changed anything since I last logged in so not sure what is the issue. Any thoughts/suggestions.

You know, it happens to me sometimes as well. Sometimes clearing cookies/cache helps, other times I just go through the "forgotten password" process (even though I know I have entered the right password by a test similar to what you described). It could also be that the php version has been changed by the host, though there are a few factors involved with that part/issue. Ohh, and the user login may be in a timeout because of too many attempts within a specified time period. That doesn't sound like the case, but I've seen it before.

So you're saying that when you used the query in the FAQ (https://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?44) to create a functional login, that you couldn't login with the new credentials?

Well that worked! I did not do it initially because i knew the password. I am in the admin now but I have no idea why that was happening. Oh well. It is fixed. Thank you. Have a great holiday weekend!!

Just to follow up/confirm, although that process of a temporary password reset worked, you have gone through and reset the password for your original acount or created another new one and ultimately removed this new temporary login, correct? Wouldn't want to leave this account accessible if don't need it right away.
