    red flag Sorry! There seems to be a problem connecting to our database

    I an currently using zen cart version 1.5.6a all day I have been getting different error messages first telling me admin name and password were incorrect, i reset twice still cant get in and now I am receiving this error message .

    Sorry!
    There seems to be a problem connecting to our database. Please give us a few minutes to remedy the problem. Thank you.

    This has been going on for the last 3 hours has anyone been experiencing this issue?

    The message means what it says: "There (is) a problem connecting to (your) database".

    Perhaps your hosting company is doing some maintenance on the database server? Maybe someone else's account got hacked and the tech staff are bouncing the database while trying to restore things? Maybe they're doing upgrades on it?

    Talk to your hosting company.
