Discrepancy between z156 upgrade and full package

Hello zenners,
In comparing the download I got from zen-cart.com to upgrade a 1.5.6a site with a full 1.5.6 install accomplished through softaculous, I found there is a difference in a file set.

includes/modules/category_row.php

The upgrade assigns pixel_trans.gif string to !$categories->fields['categories_image']

And the full install assigns pixel_trans.gif string to $categories->fields['categories_image']

I'm guessing the second one is correct?

Yes, this was a late breaking bug that was fixed. Second one is correct.

This is the main reason that it's always best practice to get your files from Zen Cart. The so-called "auto-installers" are at best unreliable.

Couple of things. First of all softacalous is not associated with Zen Cart, meaning whatever is in that software is a result of softaculous not Zen Cart. Next, if they are not advertising it as version 1.5.6b (latest released version) then it is not expected to be up-to-date. As to the find, if I recall correctly the second is correct. It doesn't make sense for not something to be assigned a value. Unfortunately it seems that in copying and pasting information to fix one problem, it seems that another was created.

One of the problems here is that there were two 1.5.6b releases (a day apart); the change identified in post #1 of this thread was introduced in 1.5.6b-2.
