Default Host Upgraded PHP to 7.3 - Now need to Update ZC 1.5.6A to B

I searched and didn't find this question.

Host says php 7.3 is now available for my account.

Fresh install this Spring of zc 1.5.6a and imported previous db.

Should I go ahead and export the DB, create a new db, and do a fresh install of zc 1.5.6b?

OR use the whole SQL patch /sql/updates/mysql_upgrade_zencart_156.sql ?

    Thanks so much!

You don't need to export your db. The database changes for 1.5.6b are really just fixes to the original upgrade. See

Yes, thats the patch I was quoting except that my Database Engine: MySQL 5.6.41-84.1 and the patch references mysql 8.

Use the patch and you will be ready for MySQL 8.
