Adding multiple shipping carriers

I am using zen-cart version v1.5.6b and am trying to add the following shipping carriers and apply different rates to each.

Standard postal
Fed ex next business day
Fed ex 2nd business day
Outside US

I don't see a way to do this within the shipping module. Is there a way to add several shipping carriers for the customer to select during checkout?

In the Plugins section for Shipping Modules, you'll find a couple of UPS mods and the USPS mod (28 Mar 2018)

There's also a fedex mod. You may have to go to the developer's site to find the most recent version.

All of those allow domestic and/or international options to be presented to the customer upon checkout.

Thanks for all the input. I will check it all out. It sounds like it's a bit more involved that the current cart my client is using. I was just hoping to be able to add about 3 to 4 different carrier names to a drop down menu and have different flat rates for each of them as opposed to loading some shipping modules.

I would have thought that cloning the Flat Rate shipping module would be the way to go, such as in this post

Thanks for the flat rate shipping cloning info. I think this may be a good solution for just having a few different flat rate carriers.

Thanks again for all the advice. I was able to clone the flat rate shipping module and create a few new ones. One of the shipping methods is for out of country. Is there a way to configure it to only show up when the customer's shipping address is not in the United States?

Two ways I can think of off hand. Create a zone that has everything except the US or modify the code to work in the opposite way for the zone identified in the admin and then would suggest changing the language for the configuration to identify to exclude the shipping module if it is set to whatever is selected. Note that if done fully this way, then not having a zone identified will fully disable the module.
