gallery of pictures other than a catagory

is there anyway to add a gallery of pictures other than the category gallery style? I would like to display custom work that I have done so customers can see it. also would need the ability to make a comment on the picture.

You could create a new page using the about-us plugin and do as you like with a clean slate.

I wonder though, how you would implement comments on a new (define) page - the coding for that would be complicated, I think.

An alternative could be to use a category (product listing) page to display the pictures as products and use product reviews as comments.

You could style the page with css and code in the reviews with something like this:

Athough you would need to make sure the reviews only display on that category - you could use PHP or CSS for that.

Another possibility would be to create a product that has additional images, the comments from product reviews would apply to all items on the page rather than to each specific picture, but is a way that the request could be met.

As to the define pages method, it's possible to incorporate code, but of course an issue would be if a change were made to the define page and an error occurred, may be a little difficult to troubleshoot.

Even if the about_us blank page were used, the define portion does not have to be used, the rest of the page could be edited to provide the desired content where the define may carry information you wish to share about the items on the page.

You could try owl carousel, responsive design, finger mobile, drag and slid anything. I use it to slid additional products on my shopping cart page, thumb nail for extra images and more. When I upgrade next it is setup to replace my front page slider so I can do other things like short movies..
