Just ran zc_install to upgrade a zc154 site to zc156c, running PHP 7.1.32/PHP-FRM. No zcInstall logs were generated. /logs directory was pre-existing with 0755 permissions.
Any ideas?

I've seen cases where the ZC error-reporting stuff is being ignored, and all error reporting is going to the server's core logs (or at least the PHP default log location). Both admin/catalog and zc_install.

Does zc_install use the same 'enable_error_logging.php' as the admin/storefront?

Perhaps there's something amuck with how it's setting DEBUG_LOG_FOLDER?.

Does zc_install use error_log to write those logs, or does it use trigger_error? If it's the latter, then that's the explanation.
The most recent (?) update to the 'normal' enable_error_logging.php enabled those triggered errors (on PHP-FPM installations) to actually get written to the /logs directory.
