Category Index not loading...causes footer not to load.

Can anyone tell me why the Category Index would stop loading?

This page used to have pictures and and index in the center of the page of all of the categories that are listed on the right nav menu.
It got tweaked when trying to fix something else and disappeared. The problem also causes the footer on those pages not to load.
Example: this category has not sub categories it load and the footer loads:

Any ideas where to look to fix it?

Typically when a page is partially white (no footer but other earlier page content is present) or fully blank, the following FAQ comes in handy: http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?124-blank-page

Would suggest checking the logs directory and may need to look at what has been changed and restore to an earlier version/record of the file(s). An upgrade overall wouldn't be a bad idea either considering Zen Cart 1.5.2 wasn't released to be used for production but more as a stepping stone in handling more recent PHP versions.
