    Default Please select a payment method for your order.

    Good Morning;

    A customer tried putting in an order yesterday and got this message, it is the first time we've seen it and process several orders a month (had a customer last week process her order with no issues). After the customer typed in their credit card info and hit continue they got the following error: Please select a payment method for your order.

    I tried a dummy order and got the same thing. Any ideas?

    To be able to help identify the issue, additional information would be needed. What is the payment module that is used? What site changes have been made any time recently understanding that a sale may have occurred where the selection may have been selected.

    Is the issue that the radio button associated with the payment is not selected while starting to type in the numbers, that it can not be selected or that if/when it is visually active that the selection is not recognized?

    Has the patch described at this thread been applied?

    Good Afternoon;

    The payment module is the one included in the software. No changes have been made to the website in the time frame from the last order that worked till now except that some of that product quantities were updated. There are no radio buttons for the credit card types. I installed the patch and retried it; got the same error.

    Okay, Karnac has left the building. There are eleven payment methods provided with the current version.

    Are we to continue to guess, or can you please help us help you by answering the posting tips?

    My apology, its been a while since I set up the site. We only use the "credit card" payment module. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express are set to "1". "Show on payment" is set to "2"

    What are or have been the settings found in the admin are under modules->payment. Should see options like PayPal Express, Check/Money Order, etc... on each row there is expected to be a colored icon dot to help identify the status.

    If I'm looking at the correct page, the only ones listed are:

    Authorize.net (SIM) - red dot
    Authorize.net (AIM) - red dot
    Authorize.net - eCheck - red dot
    Credit Card - 0 green dot pending
    Cash on Delivery - red dot
    Free Order - red dot

    That's all there is on that page. After "Free Order", the page is blank.

    Suggest following the below FAQ to resolve that issue. It may or may not be related to the store front problem. However, big picture, it is likely that the php version used for the site has been increased beyond how the code is written. The php version should be identifiable by selecting the version link towards the top of your admin.
