    Default No Customer Information after registration in admin

    When a customer registers there is no information at all in admin. When I tried creating a new customer I got the following message

    Sorry but we no longer accept shipping or billing addresses in ďĒ please update this address to continue

    How can I put this right ? Iím running version 1.5.5f Thank you

    Hi and welcome to Zen Cart! Quick thing about posting about an issue. In order to figure out what went wrong, it helps to identify how the store came into being and what has been modified about it as compared to what is provided from the Zen Cart team.

    Some of the best information to provide to start out is to address all of the things identified in the posting tips.
    Check, have identified Zen Cart 1.5.5f, that's one starting point.

    So how was it instaled? Did you use your host's auto-installer or did you manually install as recommended in the software's docs?

    What template is being used?

    Basically if you could guide "the blind" (we can't see nor know what was done) to possibly reproduce the issue, then perhaps it can be corrected. This is not a normally reported problem.

    Thank you. I can’t help with answering your questions as I paid someone to update the cart a while ago, that is when this issue started, but then seemed to correct itself. Now since Sunday it is doing it on every registration

    So is it fair to say:
    The site was working fine.
    The site was upgraded.
    The site was working fine.
    Oops, the site stopped working?

    If you (or your developer) were to look in the logs directory, are there myDebug files generated at/around the date/time someone tries to create the account?

    Also, if the above sequence of events is accurate, then it would indicate that something happened to cause a change in operation. That something could be server configuration, file changes in just this area of the site code, PHP version changes, database issue, etc... ideally, log files will help point in the right direction. Unfortunately, the absence of any log files may be a separate issue, but if there are no log files generated in that folder, perhaps your host could identify server log records to identify what issues are happening.

    Yes everything was working just fine. Then I paid someone to upgrade the cart. This problem I now have then occurred but it was very intermittent. Since Sunday it is permanent and to my knowledge nothing was changed. I have tried to get back in touch with the guy I paid to do the upgrade but he is never available. I have looked at the logs folder in the control panel and can only see logs for today Other than that it’s 2018 so I do t think that’s very helpful. Thank you for your help I really do appreciate it

    I have contacted them they said they don’t support Zencart

    I was thinking is it easier to just ditch this site and start again? I would want to keep the customer database and all the products though. Couldn’t stand the thought of adding them again

    If you choose to move hosts, make sure that you've made a database export (via the host's phpMyAdmin) and have a copy (either downloading via FTP or creating/downloading a zip of all the files via the cPanel File Manager).
