Could someone show me how to make "More information" side box show again

Hello,

I am using 1.5.5f on php 5.6. For some reason , i can't re-enable The more information sidebox. I disabled it on the past and now want to use to show links to my blog or other pages. I turn it on in layout box controllers but it still doesn't show on the main page. I am raking my brain trying to search google for this and its probably something simple .. but I can't for the life of me find it.

Is there like a global turn off for it ? I mean I know about layout box controller. But thats not doing anything

The thing about More Information is that it shows the page_2, page_3 and page_4 pages, but only if their respective flags are set. So go to admin-configuration-define page status and check the status flags for those 3 pages.

Ah thank you ! So it seems what i really want is the important links sidebox and not the more information one then ? Looks like i changed the code a while ago to disable ( important links ) . So (more information sidebox) is for those in zencart made pages ( page 1 , 2 etc ) and not links like i want ?

If you are adding pages of your own creation, add to whichever one makes sense for your site. There is no hard and fast rule. If you want to just use one sidebox and you're already using information, stick your new pages in there.

how can I add links to the one I am currently using , the information sidebox ?

to

includes/modules/sideboxes/YOUR_TEMPLATE/information.php

Edit to taste.

Would their be a place to edit that in the admin ? Or do i need to actually add to the code there.

This is a code file - download it to your computer, modify it with a text editor like Notepad or Notepad++, upload it, test.

ah , i see. Could you also show me how to enable important links ? I would like to manage both if possible.
