That's why all mods should be on a dev server first so you can restore the database repeatedly and see what is going where easily/compare.
I have often found problems with mods sql, that require some tlc before working smoothly/as I want, so requiring multiple trial-and-error changes on a test db before letting it loose on production site. Trust nothing.
