logged in but when on product list/page it sems logged out

Some customization.

Hi

Site is set to show price only to logged in users, I log in, and get the "welcome username" message (index.php?main_page=index), then go to a given category, and see the message "price unavailable - login to see price", at this time instead of "logout", and "your account" links, the "login" link is displayed, when clicking on it, it takes me to "your account" page (index.php?main_page=account) with all the info, and links to edit the account info, which work fine, and the "logout", and "your account" are displayed.

When going to any other page (product/category/ezpage/etc.) it seems I am logged out.

What am I missing, where should I look, and what to look for?

I just tried with other settings:
Template: classic green
Customer details > Customer Shop Status: 0, 1, 2

In all cases there is the issue - with some small differences - of missing "add to cart", and instead there is the "login to ..."

Nothing in the logs.

Php version?

Sounds like possibly a session issue. May suggest also providing the settings for configuration->Sessions.

Update.

I checked the "who's online" in admin tools, and shows the following, whether I log in, or not :
Currently there are 0 customers online
Duplicate IP Addresses: 0
Total Unique Users: 0.

Is this true when the selection is made to allow/support viewing admin IP addresses? (Exclude Admin IP set to no)

If it is set to yes (default), then logging into the site from an IP Address associated with the Admin will appear as if the individual is not logged in.

Ooops, it was set to yes; set it to no, and I do get the list.

I was shown as guest
I logged in, and it showed correctly I was logged in (/index.php?main_page=account)
I went to first category, and it shows as guest (/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1)

Clicked back on my account, and shows me again as active, keeping the guest as inactiv; logged out, and shows active guest on /index.php?main_page=logoff.

Two different session IDs.

I also compared it to a local install, and the data are the same, save the session IDs

Just can't seem to find a solution, any further idea, and suggestion would be very appreciated.

My settings are the default ones, meaning that the following two differ from your settings

Force Cookie Use False
IP to Host Conversion Status True

However I tried changing them like yours, but no joy; I tried also one of them like yours, and the other as default, and yet no joy.
