oh good. I selected it earlier before the database patch. From classic to responsive . I just noticed that all of my template folders in the new install are just "responsive_classic" should I go in and rename them all to "responsive_classic_v1" ?

I would suggest using responsive classic and getting your store working, THEN switch templates and customize a bit at a time.

oH I am , I didn't change it to any other template I just set it to responsive classic after I imported the tables. For some reason after I imported the 1.5.5f tables it set it to the classic template. Even on my 1.5.5f store , still used the base template , I think I just named it v1 because I at one time wanted to lean how to make backups of them before making changes.

Going to try renaming the folders to the v1 version. Just poking around.

Okay that didn't work , so i reverted the name changes... BUT I retried what @swguy showed me with the ezpages_bar_header.php file ( with the database now patched ) and............. THEY ARE NOW SHOWING UP!!!!
Going to nuke everything and do this again on the test site. But it looks like you fixed it @swguy. You freaking rock !

All's well that ends well. I wound up writing a tutorial over on the docs site on how to handle this issue because it has been asked about before.

@swguy
So i nuked the test site.
Installed a fresh copy of ZC 1.5.6C
Imported over the tables
Upgraded the database.
Used your fix
Enabled header bar in the ez pages
And like magic your amazing fix took care of the issue for mobile. I honestly have one final question , is there anyway to get them to show in mobile without also enabling the header bar in the desktop mode ? Kinda like it was in 1.5.5f ? If not no worries! You have done a great job. Its just I noticed I had to use heads on one to get the other. I can always build around this. But wondered if I could have like it was in 1.5.5f ?
