Adding New Categories not showing BOLD and not showing SubCategories beneth

And, remove this comment before actually posting!]We have a site that has been up for years and needed to add a NEW CATEGORY. When added to the left navigation it shows but not bolded like the others and does not show the subcategories.

We are trying to get the 50% discount to show Ladies and Mens as subcategories and 50 % in bold

In the past, someone has added a span class triggering the bold text

Ladies Shoes has

class="category-subs-parent"

I'm not able to see whether the addition was made in your admin or database.

I wonder if it could be as simple as adding

A.category-top {
       font-weight: bold;}

edit: to stylesheet.css

Actually this also make the '->' bold, which may not be desirable.

And, with the span in place, the previous cat-tops would become double bold depending on the browser.
