    Default Template challenge :)

    Hey everyone.

So... I got some extra time on my hands (thank you, covid) and was thinking I'd have a go at creating a new template. I don't think we need to re-invent the wheel so let's use an existing template and convert it into a Zen Cart template. My idea is to find something on themeforest in the HTML section and just convert it. The regular license allows unlimited use for a free end product so we're good to go.

Choose a template you like (make sure it's Bootstrap 4 and it has ecommerce pages) and just write the name here. Give me your suggestions and the template that gets most "votes" in the next few days is the winner. DO NOT buy anything, I'll buy it myself, and will share with the community when it's ready.

OK, the link above might have been a bit hard to use or browse... Here's one with slightly narrowed results.

Here are a few of my personal favorites: collection
I'm thinking of going with Allaia, but am open to your suggestions. If anyone has anything better or maybe thinks it would be better for you and the community, let me know.

@swguy - sure, I'll set up a repo as soon as I get started. Still kinda waiting for community input.

    slightly narrowed results? 46 pages....

i'm with you. i like allaia. little flashier with the scrolling images; like the way it animates things. for my taste, i think milana is too stagnant; you have the sticky header, and that's about it.... an improvement for sure. probably easier to maintain and provide support.... but i like allaia more...

    big fan of this idea!

Perhaps other developers would like to step up and take @balihr's challenge? Pick a bootstrap theme and convert it for use with Zen Cart.

This could become the foundation of your new portfolio. Anyone can talk a good game, but nothing convinces like ACTUAL WORKING CODE.

Of course, that was the whole point! I was hoping for the community to decide. The more votes, the better!

Thanks for the input. So far, Allaia is in the lead. If nothing changes, I'll be starting on Monday.
