Admin > Catalog > Option Name Manager > Edit

(in 1.5.6 it's "Update" rather than "Edit")

@Nick1973 seems to take HTML just fine in 1.5.6. (I tested bolding the option comment.)

Well I tried it and it just outputs HTML tags as text rather than rendering the actual HTML, or it did for me.

I want to use the comments field so I can display boxes containing HTML above certain attributes.

    You're running 1.5.6c?
Please paste in your HTML so I can try it.

    It would be like this:

    HTML Code:
    <ul class="hostingplan1">	<li>	<h3>Shared Hosting Entry<br>	2.99mth - 35.88 yr</h3>	</li>	<li>Pay Monthly or Yearly</li>	<li>No Contract Cancel Anytime</li>	<li>2 GB Storage Space</li>	<li>20 GB Bandwidth</li>	<li>20 FTP Accounts</li>	<li>20 Email Addresses</li>	<li>Free SSL Certificates</li>	<li>Instantly Setup 24/7</li>	<li>DDOS Protected</li>	<li>cPanel Control Panel</li>	<li>LiteSpeed Webserver</li>	<li>PHP Versions Selector</li>	<li>MySQL - MariaDB</li></ul>

This is way too long - the field products_options_comment is only 255 wide.

I can put about 1/2 of this into the comment field and it works.

Yes I know, sorry I should have added that the comments field needs adjusting to take the length. I tried a shortened version and it didn't work for me. I'll try again.

See attached images. This is what I get on output and where I am entering it. I've even tried changing the template and get the same.
