Check admin/includes/init_includes/init_sanitize.php against a fresh download. Have you removed products_options_comment from the group that's passed to PRODUCT_DESC_REGEX perhaps?

No, even with a fresh download of 1.5.6c and replacing admin/includes/init_includes/init_sanitize.php it doesn't render HTML on output.

Ok well just done a clean install and it is outputting the HTML fine. So now time for trouble shooting. Any ideas?

On my virgin install of Zen Cart it is outputting the HTML like this which is correct:

    HTML Code:
    <h3>TEST</h3>
    :

On my customised cart it is outputting like this:

    HTML Code:
    " <h3>TEST</h3> "
    Which is wrong.

There are two paths you have to test:
    - does the data go from the admin to the database correctly? (Sounds like yes)
    - does the data go from the database to the storefront correctly? (sounds like no).

If this is true, you'll have to debug the path from the database to the storefront. Perhaps a double sanitization is being done?

To be honest I can get by for the time being as I am still entering data. So I'll just continue and then look at re-installing the template on a clean install and gradually add the modules I have put in place to see if it's one of those. Sounds like major work but I have already had a good look around and can't see anything. Obviously there is something wrong but not sure what. So I gathered this afternoon it might be easier to get all the data finished and then gradually transfer it to a brand new install. I think in some ways that could be the easier route as it will be like looking for a needle in a haystack I think.

This was database related. I have no idea where or what but I copied all the products data into a clean install of Zen Cart leaving the clean STRUCTURE in the database intact. And it reolved the issue. So it appears to have been somewhere in the database STRUCTURE. And it wasn't in the obvious place, but whatever it did resolved the issue.

    Thanks for your help
