can't get rid of Congrats message and can't get MY logo to show

I've installed ver 156c from my hosting Softaculus installer.
I printer the article that is supposed to explain how to get rid of the "Congratulations!......" message but the only thing I've been able to do so far is put in my own picture of where the rocks were, that's where I wanted it to show and that worked, and I managed to get rid of the little ZenCart logo that is above the Congrats message so that now shows a broken link but it does shows the ALT text I selected to put in the place of the ZenCart one
No matter what I try, I can't get my logo.jpg to show either by having the header file in the English directory of my over-ride directory that is inside the English directory.
My domain is afghansniagara.ca
Could someone please point me in the right direction?

people say the autoinstaller does not work properly, but i have never tried it myself.

Thank you for the articles and I’m printing them now for when I work on my system later.

I have noticed with the way it’s currently configured when I look at it on my desktop I see the error I wrote about when I started this thread but without making any changes and looking at my site on my cell phone I see what looks like the place marker where my logo should be but no logo. Also the ALT text doesn’t show when I’m looking on my cell.
Does that help any as to getting to my error?

I did have a look at some of the articles on the over ride system and printed the article that showed the directory tree and used that to create MY directories as indicated but so far most of them are empty.

I want to continue to use the default template system rather than the original green one because this one seems dedicated to adjust better to tablets and cell phones which were not needed when I first got to use Zen-Cart years ago.

Where have you put your logo image, as it is looking for it here.

Have you created the override folders? If yes how did you do it?
A very simple way is to copy the responsive_classic folder, and renaming it, then open the template_info.php file in it, and change the name of the template from responsive_classic to whatever you named your folder copy.
Then do the same (excluding the template_info.php part) for all folders named responsive_classic you find in the includes/modules, and includes/languages folders, and in their respective subfolders, renaming the copies with the same new name you picked for you template.

Finally do all editings in those newly created folders.

The file to edit for "congratulation" message is in
includes/languages/english/index.php
Do not edit that.
Create a folder in includes/languages/english/ folder, name it as you named your template, then copy the index.php and paste it in there, and edit that file; to recap you should have
includes/languages/english/YOUR_NEW_NAME_TEMPLATE/index.php
and edit this index.php file.
