Use as order desk, no prices?

After getting to know zen cart, I was wondering if it is possible to remove all things related to pricin g?

I would like current clients to be able to log in, and place their orders.

I'd receive the orders by email, or at least a notice of the order.

I could still have various suggestions for the client to learn about new products and to contact their representative.

Check out the setting Customers::Customer Shop Status - View Shop and Prices. It sounds like you want that value to '2' (May browse but no prices unless logged in).

This is a good idea to start with.

But this will be just an order desk. A way to facilitate the client entering their order.

I do not want prices. These will be attributed in the accounting software, ,which is a separate software.

I want the order site to be 100% price free.

Might there be another option?

You can do this - a combination of admin switches (where available) to not show price and template modifications (to not show price), you can allow customers to order without any knowledge of price. You'll also need a payment module (perhaps adopting check/money order) and a way to ensure that only authorized users are creating accounts. I have done this kind of thing before for intranet deployments where all purchases were internal.
