Help I need to send batches of emails from my customer list

I have to inform my customers before I close my site as it holds credits for them to use. My customer email list is very long... tens of thousands. I have choices in the 'send' display but it involves very large quantities... basically 'send to all' (not possible) or other, very large, groups. I can't select eg a hundred at a time as highlighting, clicking, scrolling and clicking again a t+- 100 just doesnt work. Has anybody got any creative solutions??!! Please! and Thanks for reading.

A better solution would be to export that customer database, along with credits, to an email-newsletter delivery service.
That way you not only preserve your customer database, but can also segment the list to send in batches, and they can choose whether to stay on your list, etc, for future engagement.

The Export Email Addresses plugin can be helpful for this. You might want to customize its internal query to pull out their credits balance and include that in the output data.

Then you can use any emailing service like aweber or mailchimp or socketlab or responsesuite etc to engage them.

Have you considered selling your business rather than closing your site? If you have tens of thousands of registered customers, I would think that *someone* would be interested.

Thanks swguy. That hadnt occurred to me! it's a good idea but I'm actually going to look for an existing website that hosts people like me as I have a lot of copyright stuff for sale, then I wont have the expense and responsibility...but for others in a slightly different situation it would be viable.
